TERMS OF SERVICE
By commissioning Star Heart'd Studios (henceforth will be referred to as "the Studio"), you (the client) agree to the following:

-All payments are made electronically in USD, via the use of Square invoice.
​
-Illustrations can be paid for either in full upfront after the composition sketch is approved, or half after approval and half after inks and flat colors. In-depth reference sheets can be paid for in a similar manner.
​
-Sketch pieces, and basic character sheets are all required to be paid up front.
​
-Unless a timeline is explicitly stated, all works are completed when the Studio has availability. Wait times will vary depending on the complexity of the piece, but the Studio will give consistent updates on the status of the client's piece(s).
​
-The client is entitled to no more than 3 (three) major changes to the piece while in the early to middle production stages.
​
-The client agrees to provide any visual references or highly detailed written descriptions they have in order for the Studio to complete an illustration. Detailed descriptions are required for character sheets of either catagory.

-The Studio will send the client the final piece as high resolution file via email. If the client desires a lower resolution or aspect ratio, the Studio will provide the service for no additional charge.

-The Studio reserves the right to deny anyone a commission for any reason.
​
-The client cannot request a refund after the work on the art has started.
​
-If for any reason the Studio cannot complete the piece, depending upon what stage the piece is in, a full or partial refund as well as any art completed will be sent to the client, i.e. a full refund will result in no art being returned, but a piece that has been completed up to the line art stage will keep the amount valued and return the difference and art to the client.

-Upon accepting art from the Studio, the client has the right use the commissioned for personal use ONLY, unless business/commercial licensing has been discussed. The client agrees that any reposting/reproduction (i.e. posting to personal social media pages or selling prints) of the art without proper credit or permission given in writing is considered theft and appropriate actions will be taken. Proper credit can be any kind of link back to any of the Studio's social media pages or website.

-Resale of commissioned works after completion is allowed, so long as the intellectual property does not belong to the Studio and amount sold for does not exceed the initial amount paid.
​
-The Studio will not resell commissioned art of characters (prints, pins, etc.) unless the intellectual property belongs to Star Heart'd Studios.
